The Chinese New Year, which started Friday, is the Year of Horse, given that each Chinese zodiac represents an animal like rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. The horse signifies kindness, strength, and gregariousness. In the larger Chinese astrological cycle, this year is also associated with the element of wood, which makes 2014 the Year of the Wooden Horse. The combination is supposed to signify 12 months of patience and cooperation ahead, it is considered to bring energy and is also a good year for romance.
